I SCREAM YOU SCREAM WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM:
At the dawn of winter, Orphan Run would like to greet UTM’s first year students as well as the older students with Ice Cream from Baskin Robins. This event will be directed towards creating Orphan Awareness, promoting Orphan Run’s upcoming events and raising money for Orphan Sponsorship.
PIE IN THE FACE:
This event is designed to raise Orphan Awareness but with a fun twist. Students will get an opportunity to bid on thier friends and Pie them in the face in front of a cheerful supporting crowd. Various petitions will also be signed prior to the event requesting professors to place themselves on auction and help raise money for Orphan Awareness. It is certainly one of the most awaited and desired events by the UTM community.
SAMOSA DAY “THOSE POTATO FILLED TRIANGLES”:
The basic purpose of this event is to fundraise through the sale of samosas. Orphan Run has received lots of requests in the past to initiate a fundraiser that is unique and different. Orphan Run is positive that along with bringing the UTM community together, we will help fundraise for a great cause.
BAKE SALE:
Orphan Run’s Annual Bake Sale is one of its greatest fundraisers. It is amazing to see the number of volunteers that are willing to produce the baked goods for this event. For this reason, Orphan Run’s annual bake sale has been a success. Not only does this event bring together Orphan Run’s members and supporters but it also shows the dedication that some of these individuals have towards the cause.
5th ANNUAL ORPHAN RUN:
The run itself is one the grandest events that the club organizes each year.
Last year a number of public and private schools participated in this event along with individual participants. Participants are sponsored by the community, to take part in a 1 km walk and 4 km run. Food will be provided for all the participants, and prizes will be awarded to the top runners, and fund raisers.
