1. What is the Orphan Run annual Run?
It’s a run which happens every year in a selected park, student collaborate together to participate in the walk/run. The purpose is to raise awareness and funds for the orphans in the less fortunate parts of he world.

This year the run will be held on Sunday May 9th

3. Where is the run?
This year the run will be located at Erindale park:1695 Dundas Street West. The Main Intersection is Dundas and Mississauga Road. It is next to the University of Toronto Mississauga Campus.

Erindale Park is the largest park in the City (222.1 acres or 89.88 hectares) This park offers walking trails, fishing, canoeing and spectacular views of the Credit River and tall ravines. The park is inviting to bird watchers, photographers and anyone at all who enjoys getting back to nature.

4. What time is it?
The activities will be from 11:00am – 2:00pm. We suggest you arrive at 10:30am to avoid the long line up for signing in.

5. Who will be there?
Everyone from the community has been invited. The majority of the crowd is usually local university and high school students. There are some families and sponsors who come show their support as well.

6. How can I participate?
You can participate by fundraising as much money as you can and by coming out to the run! You can fundraise individually or in a Team of 5. The individual and Team that raises the highest will receive Prizes. On the day of the run, you can participate in the 1km walk or the 3km run. Don’t forget to get your friends and family to tag along as well!

7. How much does it cost?
There is no registration fee to attend the run, however, we ask every participant to fundraise as much as possible and encourage a goal of $20 per person.

9. Who are the sponsors?
Cadbury, Loblaw’s, Paintball Nation, Pita land, Sweet confectionaries, tees n more, moomani.com, Kumon, Second Grill, Trade Secret, and there are more to be confirmed.

10. Are there any prizes?
The individuals who raise the highest donations individually or in a team of 5 will receive a Prize. The individual will receive a grand prize and each member of the team will receive gift baskets which will contain an assortment of prizes. Lastly, a number of raffle prizes (Gift Cards, Paint ball nation passes, Cadbury prize packs etc) will be given away in the end of the day.

11. Why should I come?
You should come and show your support for this great charity cause. To help assist in raising awareness and funds for those less fortunate than us, and to help make a difference in the world.

12. What have we done in the past?
So far we have raised over $25 000 from this student effort and sponsored a number of orphans worldwide.
